Investor partnership charter
PTE seeks to work with investors who are committed to the economic development of the region, to improving the quality of life of its inhabitants and to protecting its environmental assets. The world - and Europe in particular - is a competitive place for investment. In this competition, we prefer to attract investors whose activities and partnership approach are in line with the UniNext Innovation Programme's Investor Partnership Charter.
The Charter’s points:
1. Build on the local knowledge base
a) Collaborate with the university on which the knowledge base is based. Establish a working group to discuss issues related to the investment, such as infrastructure development or environmental protection.
b) Seek to recruit students who have graduated from or are studying at the university.
c) To be open to training cooperation to acquire practical knowledge and to involve students during their studies.
d) To establish an open scholarship programme.
e) Training development.
f) To stimulate innovation in the Science Park.
2. Considers it important to attract local labour
a) Prioritises the use of local and regional labour.
b) Promotes the mobilisation of the regional workforce.
3. Developing the local economy
a) Committed to establishing a supplier programme to attract local businesses
4. Committed to research, development and innovation in its activities
a) Continuously strive to increase the level of added value in its production.
b) Involve PTE professionals and students in achieving and maintaining high added value.
5. Environmental protection
a) Is dedicated to the protection and preservation of the environment.
b) Contributes to the development and operation of monitoring surveillance systems. Provides opportunities for NGOs to carry out independent measurements.
c) Shall organise all its activities in such a way as to ensure maximum compliance with environmental standards.
d) Commits to contributing to the establishment of an environmental and sustainability fund to implement green programmes in the area.
6. Sustainability
a) Its business history demonstrates its commitment to sustainability. Sustainability plays an active role in strategic business decisions.
b) In its use of resources, and taking into account rational considerations, it strives to include as high a proportion of green energy as possible.
c) Align with the sustainability strategies of the City of Pécs and the University.
7. Working with the public
a) It seeks to establish an ongoing bilateral dialogue with the local and regional population.
b) Strive for open and transparent communication.
